The PRIDE 5K is a community-run, family-friendly event designed to celebrate our Central New York community and raise funds for SAGE Upstate Programs for older Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer people.
Why the name change?
The Pride 5k was formerly known as the CNY Gay 5K. We changed it to be more inclusive of our communities -- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Allies. Most of the people who participate in this event are allies, and we appreciate them so much. Ally support is a big part of what brings change for the LGBTQ community. The word "Pride" includes us all.
