Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020

Registration Deadlines (More info here)

  • Mail in registrations must be postmarked no later than October 9, 2020 and received by a board of elections no later than October 14, 2020 to be eligible to vote in the General Election.

  • You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, but to be eligible to vote in the General Election, your application must be received no later than October 9, 2020.

  • If honorably discharged from the US Military or have become a naturalized US Citizen after October 9, 2020, you may register in person at the Board of Elections up until October 24, 2020.

 

Change of address
Must be received by October 14, 2020 by a county board of elections 
any poll site.

Eligibility

There are a number of situations that make you eligible to request am absentee ballot, including being unable to go in person due to temporary or permanent illness (which includes avoiding in person voting due to risk for contracting or spreading a communicable disease like COVID-19). 

How and When

  • You must apply online, postmark, email or fax a completed application or letter request for the General Election Absentee ballot no later than 7 days (October 27, 2020) before the election. 

  • You may apply in-person up to the day before the election (November 2, 2020).

  • You can request a ballot right away, but they will be mailed out beginning on or about September 18, 2020.

  • You should know that despite these deadlines, the Post Office has advised it can not guarantee timely delivery of ballots applied for less than 15 days before an election

  • Deadlines for returning ballots:

    • mailed ballot with postmark no later than November 3rd

    • delivered in person to County Board of Elections Office no later than November 3rd

    • brought to an early voting poll site between October 24th and November 1st

    • brought to a poll site on November 3rd.
